Steven Duncan
Steven started in construction as a teenager working in the family business. He was exposed to all aspects of construction and became a multi-skilled tradesman, gaining experience across various disciplines before progressing to site manager. Steven was soon overseeing brickwork and joinery packages that were subcontracted to both national house builders and to larger commercial projects such as the Agricultural Museum in Glasgow, Council Offices in Edinburgh, and Glencourse Barracks for the MOD. Following a few years working as a contracts manager for a national builder, Steven started his own business offering a full turnkey service for private clients ensuring the build ran on time and within budget. He liaised with planning departments and building inspectors and used a dedicated team of tradespeople, preferred subcontractors, and trusted suppliers to deliver the home of the client’s dreams.
Mitch Blake
Mitch started working with British Gas (Southern) as an apprentice in 1976, and then travelled to Australia before returning to establish a career on the Salisbury Plain working for the MOD installing and maintaining all aspects of commercial, catering and domestic mechanical works.
In the early 2000s, he carried out a traditional construction for the Home Office at Porton Down involving a hi-spec design while complying with intense procedures of work, health and safety, and all procedures associated with the Class ‘A’ security clearance. Mitch liaised with senior managers and directors of Carillion and KBR throughout Project Slam; the £1.3 billion upgrade of Army and RAF Barracks across Salisbury Plain, Aldershot and Cosford Staffordshire. This contract was both a refurbishment, modular and traditional construction of buildings and was successfully delivered.
Throughout his career, Mitch worked with Rollalong Modular, Mears Group, and Keir Group assisting with all aspects of construction, mechanical and electrical with a bias to mechanical works.
Toby Yeomans
Toby started as an electrician following in his father’s footsteps and qualified in 1996. He was employed by a local Mechanical and Electrical company specialising in the renovation of
manor houses. This is where Toby became interested in the construction side of the
industry.
Moving forward in his career, Toby was employed by the MoD across Salisbury Plain regenerating soldiers’ properties and refurbishing kitchens and bathrooms. After completing a successful three year contract, he was employed as a contract manager for various companies working on multi-million new builds on Government land.
